What to put in the form

Give your first name, a phone number for the callback, and your area from the list; choose Another area if your address sits outside the ones named. The tree and access box does the real work, so fill it the way you would describe the job to someone standing at your gate.

Start with the tree: height against a known reference such as the house, trunk thickness at chest height, visible deadwood, any lean, and what is beneath the canopy. Then the access: gate width, slope, ground condition and where a truck could stand. Finish with timing, whether it is storm damage that cannot wait or a job for the next dry spell.

Add the disposal question yourself, because it is the one most likely to be left vague. Ask whether hauling is included and where the wood goes.

What happens after you send it

Your tree request goes to an independent local contractor, and a local pro rings you back on the number you gave. They confirm availability, the scope, the access, where the wood goes and the final price. The form is not a booking; you and the contractor agree what comes down, and for what price, before anything is scheduled.

Rather talk it through?

Calling the number shown at the top of every page is the other way in. An automated assistant answers first and asks about the tree, and the call may be recorded; the privacy page sets out what is kept, who sees it and how to have it deleted.

A tree lying on a power line is not a quote request. Keep everyone well back and call the power company or 911 first.
