Privacy: what happens to a tree work request
Effective September 27, 2026. This notice covers the tree work quote form, calls to the number at the top of the page, and the ordinary logs the web server keeps.
What the quote form collects
The form asks for four things: your first name, a phone number for the callback, your area from the list, and what you write in the tree and access box. That is the request a contractor sees.
Two technical fields travel with it. One is a hidden box that people never see and spam robots tend to fill; a send with that box filled in is refused. The other records when the page was opened, and a form that arrives within three seconds of that is refused as automated.
The server also sees the IP address a send comes from and uses it to turn away repeated sending, beyond six in ten minutes. Separately, the web server keeps ordinary access logs of the IP address, the page, the browser and the time for about two weeks.
Calls to the number on this site
An automated assistant answers and asks about the tree work. It opens each call by saying the call may be recorded, and calls are transcribed. What gets saved as your request is that transcript plus the details drawn from it: what the tree needs, the area, how soon, your first name and the number to call back.
If a tree is down on a power line, the assistant tells you to stay away and call the power company or 911 first.
Who sees a request
A request, whether typed or spoken, goes to the independent local contractor who answers it, so that they can get back to you about the tree. Outside services that run the phone line and the automated assistant process calls for us. Details are used to answer the request and to keep a record of it, not for advertising.
How long it is kept
A tree work request, and any recording or transcript of the call behind it, stays on file for as long as it is needed to answer you and to show that the referral was made. It is deleted sooner when you ask.
Having your details deleted
Send the quote form with "Delete my details" and the phone number you used written in the tree and access box, or call the number on this page and ask. The request, recording and transcript held for that number are then deleted.
No tracking
Nothing on these pages counts or follows visitors: there are no analytics, advertising pixels, third-party scripts or tracking cookies. The typefaces and scripts load from this site's own server. Links to official sources, such as city, utility, state agency, extension service and weather service pages, take you off the site to pages with their own privacy practices.
Your own browser may keep form history or restore values after a reload. That behavior belongs to the browser, extensions and device, and this site does not control it. The about page explains who runs the site, and the contact page is where requests start.
